Emma completed her three-year training at the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) in West Sussex, where she gained her first-class BSc degree in Acupuncture in 2011.  At ICOM the emphasis is studying both Eastern and Western medicine to a high level, to enable practitioners to work alongside NHS healthcare professionals.

She is passionate about acupuncture and the health benefits it brings and has particular interest in women’s hormonal health issues from menstruation, fertility to menopause, as well as offering pregnancy and pre-labour support.  In 2019 she featured in a BBC online article about menopause: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-47279032

She also practises cupping therapy, which is integrated into her acupuncture treatments and is particularly effective in boosting the immune system and helping musculoskeletal issues by relieving muscle tension. In clinic she uses a combination of several approaches including Five Elements, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and the contemporary application of Stems and Branches philosophy which underpins the clinical picture for each patient.

“I feel so supported by Emma, which is really comforting when in the process of regulating hormonal imbalances and trying to conceive. I would absolutely recommend acupuncture treatment with her to anyone who is interested in healing.”
